Where the city/environment is a character.

Frozen grass, sticks and dirt make me happy… We are all looking for things that move us. It’s winter and I forgot how cold the wind could be when it hits your spine in Seattle -like ICE! The sky (ceiling) is so close to you it feels like you climbed up the beanstalk, and arrived at a forest where they serve you pancake breakfast from a latter. During the 09-holiday season I produced a photography story in the Northwest. The story originated from an idea of city/environment as a character. The result was a subject in frame with a sensory expression of it. Myself, and Northwest photographer Paul Hernandez both from Seattle wanted to give a little glimpse into the city from a native’s perspective. Cold bricks and fishnets..
